HAR TEAM ACHIEVES 5 MEDALS IN GISUTECH 2016 UGANDA
HAR Team achieves Gold, Silver and Bronze medals (5 total) in GISUTECH UGANDA (Robotics Olympiad)
One gold medal in Programming (Smart Note android application)
One silver in Short Film (titled “Lost Colours” with a theme of justice)
One silver in Robotics (line follower robot)
Two bronze in Lego Sumo (robots wrestling)
The event attracted over 60 participants from 11 countries (Afghanistan, Angola, D.R. Congo, Kenya, Kyrgyzstan, Nigeria, Pakistan, Rwanda, Somalia, S. Africa, Tanzania) across the world and over 100 participants from all over Uganda, it started with a series of competitions in different categories at their school campus in Lubowa; this was followed by the STEM EXPO and Awards ceremony on Saturday 23rd April 2016 at the Freedom City Mall along Entebbe road.

Galaxy International School Uganda, in conjunction with the Ministry of Education and Makerere University, held the first ever International Robotics and Technology (GISUTECH) competition.
